How to Be More Creative in Your Own Space

Creative in Your Own Space

When you are a blogger who can’t exactly get out of the house at the moment, you might hit a wall of writer’s block. But if you know where to look, there are so many things in your home that can inspire you. Like metal wall art, paintings, lighting, and so on. However, if you have already used up all of those creative and there really is nothing left to take inspiration from for your blog anymore, here are some decorative ideas you can use to put more creativity and inspiration all over your home. This won’t entirely destroy the writer’s block, but it will help you get more creative.

Find a quiet spot in your home and set up your blogging space in there

In order to get the most work done and be as creative as possible, you want to make sure that you aren’t going to be disturbed by the noises outside of your writing area. You want to find a room in your home that is quiet, peaceful, and never gets foot traffic from the rest of your family. This will give you space where you can explore your own creativity with no trouble.

If you don’t have a room like this in your home, you can turn your bedroom into that room. Tell your family that you are blogging, and they are not allowed to bother you until you are done. The kitchen is a part of your home, that should look vibrant and for this, you can use the latest kitchen design ideas. If the room still collects a lot of noise, there are a few methods you could go about with this but earplugs are always a very easy option.

Change up certain home structures to change the way you live your life

If you are tired of looking at the same things all day, every day, then maybe it is time for a change. If you own the home that you are living in, you should change a few things up. Open up a wall for an extra window, change the paint colors, get barn door track hardware for your barn door instead of a regular door. This will give you all of the changes in scenery that you need in order to spark that creativity again.

You have to change up your space every few months or you are going to run out of creativity. Changing your door to a sliding door, changing the paint from dark to bright, or bright to dark, can be things that start this creative journey for you.

Hang up colorful pictures

When you want to find creativity all around you, and this is necessary when you run a blog where you are required to write a bunch of posts a day, you want to decorate the room with bright and creative picturesand want luxurious home decor. Start with art prints full of color. Even pages that are just splatters of paint. You want to make sure that there is creativity screaming at you from the walls. Make it look nice, make sure that you like the art that you are hanging up, make sure that it makes you think when you look at it. If it sparks even a small amount of creativity, consider hanging it on your wall.

Have soft lighting and soothing music

You need to block out all distractions, but you also need to make sure that there is creativity flowing through your mind. If the room is completely silent, you aren’t going to find as much inspiration as you would if it were louder. Get a pair of noise-canceling headphones and play some soft music that you can easily write to. It should be something that doesn’t distract you, but something that you are familiar with so you can mindlessly write while it plays in the background.

You should also consider getting some softer lighting. When you are writing in an area that is super bright, it can be hard to focus on your screen. If you are writing in a place that is dark, it is going to be difficult to keep your eyes on the extremely bright screen. Get a set of fairy lights or a light bulb that allows you to change the intensity of the brightness, and you will find that you can focus and write a lot more than you could before.
